Rhino fully painted, 2nd drybrush

This is how it looks after the 2nd drybrush stage. First drybrush was done with Fortress Grey, 2nd with Undercoat White. Somehow the foundation color handles better when drybrushing ;).
Next is detailing unpainted areas then inking, then done :)

Partly coated Rhino

I found a method to decently coat a large model with brushes. Of course it doesn't compare with an airbrush job, but it will have to do. It goes a little something like this:
- cover a large surface with color by using a large brush and thinned-out paints.
- repeat the process until the color of the coat is very close to the one in the bottle.
- drybrush the area to cover spots that show irregularities in the paint ;)

Assembled with the exception of the top hatch :) Also, the interior has been painted.

New marine, new technique

Basically, this one has been done with a lot of drybrushing, starting with Knarloc Green, then mixing in some Dark Angels Green for dark spots and gradually adding Camo green. The pseudo-shading on the shoulders, kneepads , legs and such has been done manually with wet blending.

Looks more like a Nurgle marine than a regular one, but oh well.. it will have to do :D

Drybrushed, inked and detailed. Basically the body is 90% done, the backpack remains to be completed :D

3 more on their way

So far only basecoating has been done and weapons have been finished. There are still some white spots left, but those will be covered with a different color than the camo green :D

Terminator closed and a 5th marine

This marks a few new forays into the .. science of mini painting, namely:

• drybrushing
  
• grass usage
• basing with something else than regular PVA glue and sand. The rock slabs beneath the terminator were made from green stuff.
• faster model basecoating with a large brush: the first models took some 40 minutes to basecoat with the camo green. The marine was finished in about 5 minutes.
